For Birth Workers

A doula for the birthing community

Don’t build your business alone

It took me four years to figure out this doula world by learning as much as I could about things I knew nothing about previously. So I want to help other doulas and birth workers establish their footing faster and more efficiently. I help you get found by your ideal clients, design your website with SEO optimization, set up Dubsado, Honeybook and other tech automation solutions, and keep your bookkeeping organized. I also help doulas create visions and missions for themselves to grow into their purpose.

If you’ve been in this work for even a few months now, you likely realize there is much more behind-the-scenes work to being a doula and birth worker than you were initially told or thought. Running a business, marketing your services, doing your bookkeeping is the last thing you want to be doing. And if you’re anything like me, that’s all you want to do - make a difference in the lives of families. You give your heart and soul to families and it’s time to invest in your future. We all know how valuable and essential support is. It’s what we do and preach for a living! So how are you being supported in your journey? How does your business need to be supported? Let’s chat to find out how we can get you more clear about your mission, more clients or more hours in your day to support them.

YOUR BOOKKEEPING DOULA

Do you need a way to stay organized financially?

Have you ever taken the time to ensure you were running a profit rather than just covering your expenses? Do you need help with your taxes or recording your HST? Do you need help putting finance processes in place to understand the day-to-day movement of your money? For most people, managing their finances is like their least favourite part of running their own business. I’ve always had a love for numbers, which is why I got a degree in Accounting and have been doing my own bookkeeping for the past four years. (I’ve even had an Accountant impressed by how organized the information was presented to him.) I am here to help eliminate finance stress and love to know more about your bookkeeping needs.

Depending on your needs, you may need to invest in a few hours or monthly services.

Overall, just not too sure what you’re doing and want to talk with someone?

As a new doula, or even a doula that previously was with an agency and is ready to make the move to a solo business, having a mentor is invaluable! Having someone to warn you when you may be making a costly mistake, creating a growth plan with and decluttering the thousands of ideas in your mind is HUGE! We’ll talk about your mission as a birth worker, and how you want to bring that to life. Let’s start with a 15 minute connection call and from there, you can decide how frequently you’d like to check in with me to push you and your business forward.

Investment starts at $60 for two 30 minute sessions.

BUILDING OUR COMMUNITY

Or do you just want to connect to build your network?

Doula work is so close to our hearts that we’re filled with so much passion, it can be hard for non-birth workers to understand what we’re feeling or coming from. I have found it challenging over the years to find a doula community that I actually felt like I fit in with. I am a birth and postpartum doula serving the Greater Toronto Area and the Most High’s Kingdom. I am passionate about nurturing the whole family unit, informed consent and breastfeeding - all areas that are not given nearly enough energy.

If we are on the same mission and vibe well, we would be honoured to have you on the Wellness Directory to make it easier for families to find your services too!

Virtual Christian Mississauga Black Doula

Hey there!

I’m Fiona and I help birth workers build strong foundations so they can better support their clients.

I believe that families need knowledge, tools and support to truly be prepared to welcome their little one into the world. I believe the amount of birth trauma happening is detrimental to society because so much energy goes toward the parents healing themselves, that they cannot build up their children as effectively. I believe society, culture and the government continuously fail families today by not supporting the entire family unit for longer than a few weeks. As a believing woman, I aim to remind families that God designed this process not to harm us, but to show us how powerful we are.

If this resonates with you, let’s virtually meet and talk about birth, babies and boobs!
